Funding Alert: Robotics

  • November 12, 2025

Mumbai, India – Indian robotics company Miko has secured $10.5 million in new financing from American media giant iHeartMedia, creating a strategic alliance that merges robotics, artificial intelligence, and children’s digital entertainment.

The capital injection will fuel international growth and improve Miko’s lineup of AI-driven companion robots for children, combining educational content, play activities, and interactive experiences.

Global Expansion Accelerates

Established in 2015 by Sneh Vaswani, Prashant Iyengar, and Chhavi Lal, the company creates intelligent robots that make learning enjoyable and emotionally resonant for young users. Its primary products – the Miko 3 and new Miko Mini – employ AI, speech recognition, and robotics to provide customized educational interactions through dialogue and narrative.

Available in more than 100 nations, with significant adoption across the US, UK, and Middle East, Miko’s growth aligns with increasing worldwide demand for educational technology that integrates play with developmental skills.

Media-Tech Collaboration

Beyond financial backing, the iHeartMedia deal establishes a strategic content partnership that will see Miko incorporate the media company’s extensive collection of child-friendly audio programming, including music, storytelling, and podcasts, directly into its robotic platform.

This integration will deliver vetted, age-suitable audio content to users while enabling new cross-platform innovations merging voice technology, AI, and youth-focused media.

Company CEO Sneh Vaswani stated: “This alliance represents a pivotal moment in our vision to develop impactful experiences for children globally. Merging robotic technology with premium media content is transforming interactive education and entertainment.”

Advancing AI Education Technology

The funding underscores India’s rising prominence in AI-powered consumer robotics and the expanding market for intelligent learning tools. The company has previously received backing from investors including Chiratae Ventures, IIFL, and YourNest.

New capital will enhance personalization algorithms, voice interaction systems, and emotional recognition features, allowing robots to better interpret children’s preferences and moods. International content partnerships will also expand.

Converging Technology Sectors

As educational technology advances worldwide, robotics is becoming crucial for hands-on learning. Miko’s fusion of hardware, AI, and entertainment places it at the crossroads of two rapidly growing sectors – educational technology and intelligent devices.

The media partnership demonstrates how entertainment companies are adopting AI platforms to engage younger demographics through novel interactive formats.

Future Trajectory

The investment positions Miko to strengthen its global presence in consumer robotics while broadening its educational content offerings. The alliance could pioneer new voice-responsive learning formats, creating deeper connections between children and technology.

Miko’s progress exemplifies how Indian innovators are leading the development of intelligent devices that blend learning, emotional connection, and enjoyment worldwide.
