Mesa School, a contemporary business institution based in Bengaluru, is reportedly preparing to secure approximately Rs 100 crore through a Series A investment round, according to insiders knowledgeable about the situation.

“The financing arrangement includes roughly Rs 84 crore in equity investment, with the remaining Rs 16 crore sourced through venture debt,” revealed an individual privy to the deal to Entrackr. The fundraising process remains incomplete.

In addition to the main capital infusion, co-founder Varun Limaye intends to offload roughly 2.9% of his personal holdings for about Rs 3 crore via a secondary sale, sources indicated.

“Current investors are acquiring these shares to boost their stake in the venture,” a person aware of the details stated.

Whether Elevation Capital is involved in the secondary acquisition could not be independently verified.

The anticipated capital injection aligns with Mesa’s strategy to broaden its curriculum spanning startup management, entrepreneurship, product development, and artificial intelligence. The institution currently offers three distinct programs targeting various audiences, from recent graduates to MBA students.

The company has experienced approximately 2.5X growth in yearly revenue and student enrollment over the previous twelve months, per sources.

“Growth has been driven by expanding both our learner base and educational offerings,” the source explained.

Elevation Capital chose not to respond to requests for comment, while messages sent to Limaye on Tuesday went unanswered prior to publication.

Established by Ankit Agarwal and Limaye, Mesa previously secured around Rs 34 crore ($4 million) during its seed funding round in April 2023, with Elevation Capital leading the round and angel investors such as CRED’s Kunal Shah, Meesho’s Vidit Aatrey, and Urban Company’s Abhiraj Bhal participating.

The firm operates within India’s growing new-age business education market, rivaling platforms like Masters’ Union, Altera Institute, and Scaler. These competitors blend business instruction with technology, product management, entrepreneurship, and startup ecosystem exposure.

Invact Metaversity, co-founded by former Twitter India executive Manish Maheshwari and Tanay Pratap, also targeted the convergence of technology and business learning, though its operational path has shifted since then.
