Centara Hotels and Resorts has announced the launch of Centara Life Osaka, signifying the group’s second venture in Japan and expanding its presence within Asia’s dynamic hospitality sector.
The 300-room property occupies a central location in Osaka with proximity to public transit hubs. Situated just 450 meters from Centara Grand Hotel Osaka, the new development will establish operational synergies between both properties—enhancing service efficiencies, guest offerings, and regional brand recognition.
Scheduled to reopen in Q2 2026 following comprehensive renovations, the project represents a JPY 12.7 billion investment. Funding includes JPY 5.3 billion in equity shared equally between CENTEL (Central Plaza Hotel Public Company Limited) and Taisei Corporation, complemented by JPY 7.4 billion in project financing.
Operating under Centara’s lifestyle-focused brand, the hotel will feature contemporary design, functional amenities, and Thai-inspired service. Targeting business and leisure travelers alike, Centara Life Osaka will emphasize convenience and comfort within an urban environment.
Regarding the expansion, Thirayuth Chirathivat, Chief Executive Officer of Centara Hotels and Resorts, remarked, “This project reinforces our strategic growth in Japan through our continued partnership with Taisei Corporation. Building on Centara Grand Osaka’s achievements, we’re excited to extend our hospitality philosophy in this thriving market while creating operational advantages between our neighboring properties.”
