Sun Siyam Resorts introduced its highly anticipated brand (R)evolution in September 2025, marking a significant transformation designed to create stronger connections with guests, partners, and stakeholders. This rebranding initiative represents a bold new phase for the Maldivian hospitality group.
Following the global announcement, Sun Siyam’s leadership team conducted partner engagements across key international markets. Recognizing India’s strategic importance, the group hosted an exclusive event in New Delhi on November 13 to present the revitalized brand concept and upgraded guest offerings to travel partners.

CEO Deepak Booneady explained the rebranding vision: “While termed an evolution or revolution, this transformation extends beyond visual identity. We’ve developed 15 new signature experiences to deepen emotional engagement and foster meaningful guest connections.”
“Our focus remains on crafting complete holiday experiences rather than simply selling accommodations. This repositioning reinforces our commitment to innovation and purposeful hospitality throughout the guest journey,” Booneady added.
Account Director Rakesh Gupta emphasized the group’s heritage: “Celebrating 35 years of operations, Sun Siyam Resorts has evolved from a modest 68-room property to a collection of over 1,500 rooms across six properties in the Maldives and Sri Lanka.”
“This strategic repositioning establishes new standards in personalized luxury and experiential travel, redefining our market offering,” Gupta noted.
The New Delhi event underscored the group’s dedication to the Indian market, recognized as a key source of business for the hospitality brand.
