Radisson Hotel Group Inks Two Resort Deals In Coorg

Radisson Hotel Group confirmed its move into Coorg after finalizing agreements for two properties—Purple Mist Resort and Spa Coorg and Purple Palms Resort and Spa—set to function under the Radisson Individuals Premier label.

This double agreement highlights the Group’s strategic push into one of India’s premier leisure hotspots, celebrated for its scenic vistas, coffee estates, and rising interest in experience‑focused travel, weddings, and corporate getaways.

Situated just off the Madikeri–Mysore Road, the resorts provide easy access to major source cities like Bengaluru, Mysore, and Mangalore, reachable through Kannur International, Mysore Airport, and Kempegowda International Airport. Their closeness to sites such as Abbey Falls, Nagarhole National Park, and nearby coffee plantations boosts their attractiveness as convenient drive‑to leisure spots.

Purple Mist Resort and Spa Coorg will be crafted as a 102‑room nature‑centric retreat, offering standard rooms and suites, an all‑day dining venue, banquet space, a fitness centre, and a spa. It is aimed at leisure guests as well as destination weddings and functions.

Purple Palms Resort and Spa Coorg, comprising 78 rooms, will be refurbished and rebranded under the same banner, providing restaurants, banquet and meeting areas, plus wellness amenities. Being already operational, it will give an instant market foothold and support the upcoming project.

Combined, the two resorts are set to deliver a robust portfolio in Coorg, serving diverse segments such as leisure stays, social gatherings, and corporate retreats.

“With this agreement, we are stepping into Coorg through a distinct strategy that lets us achieve substantial growth in a thriving leisure market. The two‑resort model provides a powerful combined proposition, serving solo guests as well as large‑scale events. As traveler preferences shift toward experiential and destination‑focused trips, projects like these enable us to deepen our footprint in emerging leisure destinations while capitalizing on the adaptability of the Radisson Individuals Premier brand.”

“RHG’s arrival in Coorg reflects the successful execution of our plan to expand across vital business and leisure hubs in South India. Having a resort ready to open at a premium leisure spot speeds up our growth trajectory by addressing every market segment and extending our reach. The dual agreement also presents a compelling value proposition for owners, enabling them to tap into RHG’s reputable brand and extensive distribution network,” said Davashish Srivastava, Senior Director, Development, South Asia, Radisson Hotel Group.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with Radisson Hotel Group on this landmark Coorg project. Our aim is to craft a hospitality experience that mirrors the region’s natural splendor while delivering global‑standard services and facilities. With two complementary resorts situated near each other, we anticipate that this initiative will transform Coorg’s hospitality scene and establish it as a top choice for leisure guests and large‑scale events alike.”

Radisson Hotel Group keeps growing its Indian footprint, currently operating and developing more than 200 hotels, with a solid presence in both metropolitan areas and emerging markets.
