Vijayalakshmi P V and Rathiesh Krishnan to lead Sales for ibis in South India

ibis, a fast‑growing brand within Accor, has named Vijayalakshmi P V as Director of Sales for ibis Kochi City Centre and Rathiesh Krishnan as Director of Sales for ibis Coimbatore.

These moves are part of ibis’ plan to bolster commercial leadership in India’s southern markets, aiming to improve sales performance, deepen corporate ties, and fuel ongoing revenue growth.

Vijayalakshmi P V is rejoining ibis Kochi City Centre, having previously worked on its pre‑opening team as a Sales Manager. She brings over 12 years of professional experience, with more than eight years dedicated to hospitality sales, most recently as Assistant Director of Sales at Kochi Marriott Hotel.

Her background also includes roles at Novotel Kochi Infopark and Grand Hyatt Kochi Bolgatty, plus a stint at Ernst & Young as a Senior Consultant. The company notes her expertise covers hospitality sales, corporate engagement, and revenue‑growth strategies.

Rathiesh Krishnan is joining ibis Coimbatore, bringing more than 17 years of hospitality experience concentrated on South India.

Throughout his career he has served brands such as Hyatt, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Ramada, ITC Hotels, The Rain Tree Hotels, and Savera Hotels.

Most recently, as Senior Sales Manager at Hyatt, he oversaw key corporate accounts, drove revenue‑growth initiatives, and nurtured long‑term client relationships.

His skill set encompasses corporate and group sales, revenue strategy, contract negotiations, and conference and events business development.
