PayU gets RBI’s nod to operate as online, offline and cross-border payment aggregator

1 min read

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has granted fintech platform PayU authorization to function as a payment aggregator under the Payment and Settlement Systems (PSS) Act, covering online transactions, offline interactions, and cross-border payments involving both inward and outward transfers.

This regulatory clearance permits the company to provide merchants with integrated payment acceptance, settlement services, and international payment solutions through all channels while maintaining compliance and security standards, according to an official company announcement.

The authorization bolsters PayU’s capabilities as a comprehensive digital payments provider, enabling businesses to process transactions efficiently across physical stores, e-commerce platforms, and international markets through unified infrastructure.
