The pioneering backpacker hostel chain Zostel has inaugurated Zostel Phuket, marking its global debut while celebrating the opening of its 100th property. This expansion represents a strategic leap beyond domestic borders while upholding the brand’s emphasis on social connectivity and accessible travel experiences.
Situated in Phuket’s vibrant heart, the new property translates Zostel’s signature communal ethos to Thailand’s tropical shores. Guests will find open-concept lounges, cafés, and shared courtyards purposefully designed to spark interaction among explorers. These spaces serve as organic hubs where travelers collaborate on itineraries, exchange stories over meals, or bond through music and local adventures.
“This launch symbolizes our commitment to creating borderless travel communities,” shared the CEO of the parent company Zo World. “Beyond establishing our presence in Southeast Asia with forthcoming properties in Chiang Mai, Bangkok, and Koh Phangan, we’re preparing expansions across Bali, Sri Lanka, and the Philippines. These locations will amplify our vision of cultural exchange through shared journeys.”
Zo World concurrently develops multiple travel verticals, including curated trip experiences across Europe and Asia, premium villa rentals, and the imminent launch of its co-living concept in San Francisco.
The Phuket property initiates Zostel’s new global phase, extending its community-driven model to international audiences seeking authentic connections through travel.
