Mumbai, July 25: HDFC Mutual Fund (HDFC MF), a top mutual fund house in India, announced that Mission Samriddhi — its investor‑education and awareness programme for armed‑forces staff and families — has completed one year. Now in its second year, the initiative has touched over 15,000 defence personnel via more than 130 financial‑literacy sessions held at Army, Navy and Air Force bases nationwide since its launch on Kargil Vijay Diwas (July 26, 2025).
Mission Samriddhi was set up to give India’sarmed forces personnel and their families the know‑how and confidence to take sound financial decisions. Through organised sessions on mutual fund s, financial planning, disciplined investing and long‑term wealth building, the programme has spread across the country in the last year, reaching bases from Patiala and Ambala to Agra and Aizawl and involving Army, Navy and Air Force staff.
Created to meet the specific financial‑planning requirements of defence staff, the scheme enables them to forge lasting financial security by making informed investment choices.
Besides classroom sessions, HDFC Mutual Fund has launched a dedicated missed‑call helpline (73581 12345) for armed forces personnel, offering help, information and ongoing financial‑learning about mutual funds and investment.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Navneet Munot, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, HDFC Asset Management Company Limited, said, “Our armed forces men and women devote their lives to safeguarding the country, and Mission Samriddhi is our effort to help them achieve financial security for the future. In the past year we have
been encouraged by the response from defence personnel nationwide, which underscores the value of financial awareness and investor education. As we celebrate one year of this initiative, we stay focused on widening its reach and enabling more armed forces staff and families to gain the knowledge needed for sound financial decisions.”
By delivering financial‑literacy training straight to armed forces members, the programme aims to boost financial resilience and foster disciplined, long‑term investment habits among those who serve the nation.
As the initiative moves into its second year, HDFC Mutual Fund will keep expanding Mission Samriddhi to additional defence establishments nationwide, further enhancing financial awareness and supporting the long‑term financial health of India’s armed forces.
